Vulnerability

Choosing to be vulnerable is a most courageous choice in life. Vulnerability creates an opportunity to heal; to elicit from a weakness, a strength we can feel.

We learned to hide our vulnerability; to perceive it as a weakness. Yet it is within our vulnerability that we discover our uniqueness.

Our vulnerability brings to light all the ways we have hidden, who we are, how we feel and what we learned was forbidden.

Vulnerability carries within it all our light cast into the dark. The parts of self we deemed unacceptable; the parts we judged as deficient and objectionable.

We fear our vulnerability as if it could be used against us. Yet we are the ones who have authored our fear. We are ones who are afraid and unclear.

Our vulnerabilities are our strengths that have been cloaked in a veil of weakness. They are the ways we have hidden from ourselves; from our true nature and completeness.

In vulnerability we discover the places where we have told ourselves we are not enough. The places within that question and doubt; these are the parts that we must call out.

When we accept our vulnerabilities, we embrace the strength we carry. We bring to life the essence of who we are; a life lived that is extraordinary.

Perhaps all along it has been our strengths that have frightened us especially. For it is through our strengths that we bring to life, our true purpose and our destiny.

We are extraordinary Beings; divine beyond measure. When we choose to live in courage and strength, we bring to life our soul’s treasure.
